The The Generalate Rome and Dependencies
The Generalate is the centre of the Society in many ways. It is the largest community with 32 confreres or more at any given time and the confreres there have various activities.
There is the General Council together with the different necessary administrative functions (Secretariat, Translations, Archives, Media, Maintenance, etc.) Then there are the confreres in Rome for further studies.
Dependant on the Generalate, there is the community of PISAI (Pontifical Institute of Arab Studies and Islam) also in Rome who run the college in Rome dedicated to the study of, teaching of, and Dialogue with Islam.
There are 2 houses of Formation in India.
1 is for Philosophy (Bangalore)
and 1 is for pre-Philosophy.
There are 14 Indian confreres.
There is one community in Philippines (in Cebu) and is there for Formation – Philosophy and Vocations Animation.
There are 7 Filipino confreres.
There has been a strong push for India and Philippines to join as one Province together with another country in Asia. But as yet things are as they appear above.
